Combined Credential and Master's Program

The Combined program is a full-time, 16-month program completed in four semesters (including summer) designed for teacher candidates to simultaneously earn a Multiple Subject Credential and a Master's in Education with a concentration in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction. The program includes some online and hybrid courses. The Combined program begins in the fall semester only.

The Combined program gives teacher candidates an opportunity to earn their master's degree and credential at the same time as well as participate in an elementary school based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) partnership. In alignment with this focus, teacher candidates are required to have an iPad as a part of this program. If a candidate does not have access to an iPad, the program has iPads available for checkout for the duration of the program.

Note: Candidates must have a 3.0 GPA (cumulative or last 60 semester units) and have completed their bachelor's degree to apply to this program. The application review process allows us to consider experiences, attributes and other academic metrics as well as the value an applicant would contribute to learning and teaching. If you do not currently meet the minimum GPA requirements, we still encourage you to submit an application.
