Doctoral programs in education range from those that primarily emphasize research and theory to those build largely around experience and practice. At Cal State Fullerton, we aim to find a creative tension in the middle – not a compromise that sacrifices theory or practice, but a synergistic place in the middle where research and theory are used to inform practice and practice is used to generate and refine theory. We believe that this creative tension is evident in all aspects of our program, and especially in our scholarship, the problems of practice that our students examine through their dissertations, and the professional development opportunities sponsored by the program. It is also evident in our central partnership with the Center for Research on Educational Access and Leadership (C-REAL).
Please join us for our fifth annual research symposium titled, “Examining Disparities in Education,” an educational symposium featuring P-12 and Community College students and Alumni. It will be held on Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 from 4:30-7:00 PM, Titan Student Union Pavilion A&B.
This event is presented by the CSUF College of Education, our Ed.D. Program, and the Center for Research on Educational Access and Leadership. For more information please contact the Educational Leadership at email@example.com or 657-278-4023.
