The PASC can be completed as part of our MS in Educational Leadership and Administration (MSEDAD) program or as a standalone Credential.

  1. PASC with the MS in Educational Leadership and Administration (MSEDAD)

    • This path takes a total of five semesters. The PASC requirements will be fulfilled within the first four semesters of study. The MSEDAD will be fulfilled in the fifth term with successful completion of the final Master's project. To complete the PASC and MSEDAD together, be sure you search for the Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration program when applying onlineOpens in new window .

  2. PASC only

    • This path takes four semesters to complete. For PASC only, search for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential when applying onlineOpens in new window .

NOTE: It is highly recommended that those interested in the PASC should apply for the MS in Educational Leadership and Administration degree. Coursework for both the MS and the PASC is the same, except for one additional course (EDAD 567-Project) taken in a fifth semester for completion of the MS. Students enrolled in the combined program are able to drop the MS (opt out of Project) if they wish. Those enrolled in the PASC only program may be unable to add the MS later.

For example, licensure or credentialing requirements can include evidence of the right to work in the United States (e.g., social security number or tax payer identification number) or successfully passing a criminal background check. Students are responsible for determining whether they can meet licensure or credentialing requirements. The CSU will not refund tuition, fees, or any associated costs, to students who determine subsequent to admission that they cannot meet licensure or credentialing requirements.
