Dr. Inez Moore

Biography
Inez N. Moore, Ph.D. is an accomplished academic leader who recently served as the Dean of College Equity, Inclusion, and Engagement at Riverside City College. With over 10 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Moore has dedicated her career to promoting equity and access in higher education.
In her previous role , Dr. Moore was responsible for developing and implementing policies and programs that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion at RCC. She worked closely with college stakeholders to address equity gaps and promote evidence-based opportunities for success.
Dr. Moore holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Howard University, where she conducted research on minority-serving institutions and the unique needs of historically marginalized students. She has served as the Director of Academic Support at RCC, where she was responsible for providing leadership for key academic services for the college such as campus-wide engagement, peer mentorship, tutoring and other learning supports.
In her scholarly pursuits, Dr. Moore has served as a researcher on several Department of Education and National Science Foundation (NSF) research grants that focus on undergraduate experiences in STEM education.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Research Areas
Current research interests include racial identity, culturally-responsive pedagogy, motivation orientations, and DEI leadership. Dr. Moore has published and presented her work on these topics in addition to regularly serving as panelist for NSF grant solicitations.
