About: This program is designed for students in a teaching credential program to take full advantage of the Education Networking Expo. Participants will learn to research and how to engage the diverse school districts and non-profit organizations. Learn how to develop a professional resume and cover letter and key interviewing skills in order prepare for the EN Expo.

About: This program is designed for students in a teaching credential program to take full advantage of the Education Networking Expo. They will have their resume and cover letter reviewed and learn key interviewing skills in order prepare for the EN Expo.

ED WEEK – Closing Keynote Speaker, DAN HABIB

Dan Habib is the creator of the award-winning documentaries and short films on disability-related topics. Habib is a filmmaker at the University of New Hampshire’s Institute on Disability. While working at the Institute, Habib has screened his films at universities, national conferences, and independent theaters across the country and internationally, leading discussions about the challenges and benefits of inclusive education. In 2014, Habib was appointed by President Barack Obama to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities—a committee that promotes policies and initiatives that support independence and lifelong inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.

Habib will be speaking about “Disabling Segregation” and creating a culture of inclusion as well as screening his short film “Thasya” and after a short intermission, the 1 hr “Who Cares About Kelsey” film.

ED WEEK – Screening “Including Samuel” and Q&A with Documentary Filmmaker, DAN HABIB

Shot and produced over four years, Habib’s award-winning documentary film, “Including Samuel”, chronicles the Habib family’s hopes and struggles as well as the experiences of four other individuals with disabilities and their families. “Including Samuel” has also been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered, ABC’s Good Morning America as well as in the Washington Post and the Boston Globe and garnering numerous film festival awards. Enjoy a full-length screening and engage in Q&A with the filmmaker.
