As the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, I am committed to fostering student success, equity, and community within the College of Education. I serve as a central point of support for undergraduate, credential, graduate, and doctoral students—helping you navigate academic programs, connect with campus resources, and thrive personally and professionally.

Services 

The following services I provide focus on:

 



 

 

 

Student Success

  • One-on-one support for academic progress and program concerns
  • Guidance on university policies, petitions, and appeals
  • Referrals to campus resources (e.g., CAPS, Disability Support, Basic Needs)
  • Advocacy and crisis response for personal, health, or family emergencies

Student Organization Support

  • Advise and facilitate co-curricular activities of academically based student organizations such as the Interclub Council (ICC)
  • Act as liaison between student organizations and university departments
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance for events within the college
  • Assist college advisors in developing programmatic opportunities that support our student population, including webinars, panels, or workshops

College-Wide Support

  • Represent the College of Education in campus-wide initiatives
  • Support credential and graduate student outreach and retention
  • Collaborate across departments to advance student equity and engagement
  • Serve as a point of contact for prospective students, faculty, and campus partners

Scholarships

  • Coordinate the College of Education scholarship review and award process with the Scholarship Office
  • Promote scholarship opportunities
  • Support applicants in understanding scholarship eligibility and deadlines
  • Assist with scholarship coordination, marketing, and selection
