Commission on Teacher Credentialing – CPR requirements became effective as of 9/1/92

CTC also recognizes organizations and providers with equivalent (ARC, AHA) CPR training other than those listed above. Applicants may submit CPR training from an organization that provides equivalent Heartsaver training in infant, child, and adult CPR.

CPR Procedures for an Individual with a Physical Disability

For an instructor to pass on an individual who is unable to perform all coursework required in a CPR class due to a physical disability, the person could demonstrate competency by verbally walking another person through the necessary procedures so the other person can perform CPR. If the instructor feels the individual with a physical disability is competent during the verbal walkthrough and successfully completes all course requirements, the individual with a physical disability can receive CPR certification.
