The Special Education minor is an interdisciplinary program that supports people in gaining the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to work with children with disabilities from birth to age 22.

The program helps meet the prerequisites for enrolling in the Education Specialist Credential Program and serves as an excellent opportunity for future general education teachers to support their students with disabilities. It complements several majors, including but not limited to, Urban Learning, Child and Adolescent Studies, and Liberal Studies.
