Applications for the Fall 2026 cohort will be accepted beginning October 1, 2025. Candidates are encouraged to apply before the December 1, February 1, and April 1 priority deadlines. The space available/final application deadline for Fall 2026 is June 1st.

Applying to the Master of Science in Transformative Teaching in Secondary Education is a two step process:

  1. Apply to CSUF by submitting an application on Cal State Apply
  2. Submit additional departmentally required documents

If you have questions, you can contact Andrea Pureco ( apureco@fullerton.edu ) or Dr. Dover ( adover@fullerton.edu ).

*Both steps must be complete before the published admissions deadline.  After you have completed both steps, your application will be reviewed by CSUF’s Graduate Admissions Office and the Department of Secondary Education. Qualified candidates will be invited to interview with faculty members in the MS in Transformative Teaching in Secondary Education. See below for additional information about admissions requirements and each step of the application process, as well as information about how to enroll once you have been accepted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or GPA of 3.0 in last 60 units. The application review process allows us to consider experiences, attributes and other academic metrics as well as the value an applicant would contribute to learning and teaching. If you do not currently meet the minimum GPA requirements, we still encourage you to submit an application.
  • Successful completion of a teacher credential program. For information about obtaining a teaching credential, view our credential program information.
  • If an applicant has not completed a credential program, the department will consider equivalent experience in lieu of a credential. If you feel you have equivalent experience, please complete and submit the verification form.

Master's Enrollment Fee

All Graduate students who intend to enroll at CSU Fullerton must accept their offer of admission and pay a non-refundable $250 enrollment deposit. The deposit will offset a portion of your Registration Fees for the first semester. This is NOT an additional fee. Once paid, this deposit will reduce the cost of your fall tuition by $250.

You must accept admission and pay your enrollment deposit through your Student Portal, within the Student Center. Under the Admissions area of the Student Center, click on the Application Status link. The Accept/Decline button will be displayed. Click on the Accept/Decline button to accept your admission to CSU Fullerton. Accepting admission and paying the enrollment deposit are required to confirm your intent to enroll at CSU Fullerton.

Our College-wide deadline for final payment of the $250 enrollment deposit is July 15th.

Students with financial aid will have the enrollment deposit waived until financial aid is awarded.
