       Stay and Play 2024 Flier

Ready, Set, Read! Stay and Play Program (Summer)

Reading Center staff and trained volunteers create fun, interactive literacy games in the summer. Children ages 4-11 are welcome to participate! Literacy games typically include: letter and sound recognition, phonics, word recognition, fluency practice, a book walk, read alouds and much more.  We encourage families to check out books from the Fullerton Public Library, participate in the library's summer reading program and spend time with us on different literacy play days.  Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes, donated by community supporters.  The Stay and Play Program at the Fullerton Public Library is open to the public, but a caregiver is expected to stay the entire time.

Program Sponsors:

CSUF's Titan Shops, Fullerton Costco, Teacher Created Materials, The Assistance League of Fullerton, Spaghetti Factory (Fullerton), McDonald's and Hazel Miller Croy Reading Center Literacy Council Members and Families

Quartermania Flyer 2024

Quartermania (Fall)

Quartermania is a way of "FUN"draising that involves a cross between an auction (holding up a numbered paddle to place a bid),  bingo (using a chip or ball with a number on it), and a party (gathering with friends). The cost for this event is $25 presale or $30 at the door.  Bring your own quarters for bidding on items donated by local vendors (which usually include: jewelry, housewares, holiday decor, clothing, culinary items, and much more!).  Restaurant dining service is accessible during the event, so you can grab lunch while you play.  The proceeds from this fundraiswer will go to support Reading Center services, which includes scholarships for striving readers in the community.  There will also be a silent auction with donated items from local businesses and the HMC Reading Center Literacy Council.
