Purpose of the Preliminary Education Specialist Credential, Moderate/Severe
(
California Commission on Teacher Credentialing)

The M/S credential authorizes the provision of services to individuals in grades K-12 to age 22, with moderate/severe disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, deaf-blindness, serious emotional disturbances, multiple disabilities, and other disabilities.
