Education Specialists in the Extensive Support Needs (ESN) program are trained to serve students from transitional kindergarten through age 22 who require comprehensive, individualized support across academic, functional, and communication domains. This transformative program prepares candidates to collaborate closely with school teams to design and deliver meaningful, person-centered instruction for learners with a wide range of disabilities. With a strong focus on inclusive practices, communication supports, and evidence-based strategies, the ESN program empowers future educators to foster growth, independence, and success in every student they serve.

Designed for flexibility and real-world impact, the ESN credential program combines 100% online coursework—through both asynchronous and live sessions—with in-person clinical practice in partnering school districts throughout the greater Orange County area. This integrated approach ensures candidates build both the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to support students with extensive needs in inclusive and specialized settings alike.

The ESN credential program is offered as full-time or part-time, pending enrollment and majority preference during the application process.
