• Joining SCEC acquaints students with similar interests. • Gain insight into the field of Special Education working alongside faculty and other professionals who have a passion for serving their communities and individuals with exceptionalities. • Members will receive CEC publications and On-line access to publications that will help keep them up to date in the field. • Have the ability to meet recruiters and hear about job opportunities. • Meet others from around your state, country and around the world involved in working with individuals with exceptionalities. • Members are able to show their commitment to Special Education and the ability to work with others by including their membership on their resumes. • The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted.
