| Biography |
Fred Ramirez is an assistant professor in secondary education, and is in charge of the Placentia/Yorba Linda Professional Development District. He received his degree from Indiana University in the field of curriculum and instruction with a minor in educational policy. He also received his MA from Loyola Marymount and his BA from San Diego State University. He comes from a high school teaching background that includes Los Angeles Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley, Ca and Bishop Garcia Diego High School in Santa Barbara, CA. His personal interests include scuba diving, running, traveling, and watching his kids grow. |

| Research Specialization and Interests |
Dr. Ramirez's research interests include parental involvement in schools, school reform, rethinking multicultural education, and teacher education. He is currently on the editorial board for the School-Community Journal. Topics of investigation include: |
