Cal State Fullerton offers several certificate programs that prepare students to advance their careers as teachers, educational leaders, and instructional design and educational technologies practioners. Courses within our certificate offerings provide a balance of educational research, theory, and practice to help students further develop as effective teachers and educators in culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The College of Education offers several certificate programs that address today’s relevant career requirements and accomodate a busy professional’s schedule.
educational technology integration certificate
Our certificate in Educational Technology Integration offered through our Department of Elementary and Bilingual Education is for Elementary School Teachers who are interested in achieving a broad understanding of the applications of technology in the elementary school classroom and the instructional technologies related tasks in the public schools.
Community College Studies Certificate
Our certificate in Community College Studies certificate offered through our Department of Educational Leadership is for professionals with a Master's degree in Education or a related field OR who are completing a Master's degree in a discipline that would lead to professional employment in a community college setting.
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN Certificates
Our MS in Instructional Design and Technology (MSIDT) Program offers two certificates. One in Instructional Design, Level I and another in Instructional Design, Level II. Both certificates provide skills needed to design and develop web-based training. Our certificates meet the needs for training and entry level instructional design competence in the workplace (corporate, education, business/industry, military, extended education). All courses are transferable towards our Master of Science degree in Instructional Design and Technology.
Postsecondary READING and learning certificate
Our online certificate in Postsecondary Reading and Learning offered through our Department of Literacy and Reading Education provides a cutting-edge curriculum that meets the emerging needs for community college faculty in the area of postsecondary reading. The certificate satisfies the California mandate under AB 1725 requiring certification in adult reading instruction for community college teachers of English.
