Donna coordinates the Teacher Recruitment Project (TRP), under the direction of Drs. Ruth Yopp Edwards and Hallie Yopp Slowik. The Teacher Recruitment Project (TRP) is funded by the Chancellor’s Office of the California State University through lottery monies. Its aim is to increase the number of qualified teachers in mathematics and science.
Donna also teaches in CSUF’s Clear Credential Program, a program that allows teachers to clear their preliminary credential if they are working in a district or at a school that does not offer an induction program. The program is completely on line and can be completed in one year.
Donna regularly spends time in California elementary schools as a consultant for gifted and talented programs and presents staff development and certification courses on differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of exceptional learners. She loves working with students and teachers!
Donna also participates on several advisory boards. She is a proud CSUF alumni, having received her B.A. and teaching credential from CSUF and her M.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University. She regularly presents at local and state conferences and is active in many professional associations.
