What is an eportfolio? Why do I want one? An eportfolio is a website that holds examples of your work products. If you are a future teacher, then you may include photos, lesson plans, instruction videos, unit plans, and other artifacts. This webinar will feature eportfolio design and development using Portfolium software. Students at CSUF have free access to Portfolium. An eportfolio includes a written reflection that supports your academic and professional growth in teaching. Join us and learn how to create an eportfolio in Portfolium.

Learn how to obtain a doctoral degree. While it may be a natural progression after the Master’s program, there are unique details that inform potential doctoral candidates. The webinar covered the experience in obtaining a doctoral degree. Dr. Jones discussed the process of applying to a doctoral program. An emphasis on individual candidate’s skill sets to match the requirements of the doctoral program were emphasized. Dr. Jones explored and discussed different types of programs.

While global education is quite comprehensive, this webinar is divided in two parts which will allow for some lecture and then Q&A. In the first half of the session, the author provided a brief overview of uneven language status and issues globally, some digital solutions, follow. In the second half of the session, the author proposed discussion about global education opportunities based on her personal experiences in France, Mexico, and Japan.

Dr. Ambrosetti’s webinar reviewed the various forms of adolescent cyber bullying. This webinar was focused on two major formats: the use of electronic technologies such as cell phones, computers, and tablets, and the use of communication tools including social media sites, text messages, chat, and websites. She discussed strategies that teachers can use to educate students and encourage sensitivity to prevent cyber bullying in schools.

Find out how educators can serve undocumented youth and families in schools. Dr. Jefferies outlined legislation that allows undocumented youth to attend K-12 and higher education, such as AB540, the California Dream Act and DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). Furthermore, there was an emphasis on the best practices for teachers and administrators to encourage this population to make a successful transition to higher education.
