Topic: Cyber Bullying in Japan
Dr. Ambrosetti’s webinar reviewed the various forms of adolescent cyber bullying. This webinar was focused on two major formats: the use of electronic technologies such as cell phones, computers, and tablets, and the use of communication tools including social media sites, text messages, chat, and websites. She discussed strategies that teachers can use to educate students and encourage sensitivity to prevent cyber bullying in schools.

This webinar featured 20 amazing application for educators. We covered apps that increase student engagement, apps for you (and your students!) to create your own instructional media, and productivity apps to keep you focused and organized. All of the featured apps are free and cross-platform (some are free to you because you’re a student at CSUF!)
Topic: Building Your Linkedin Profile
The focus of the LinkedIn webinar was to showcase how students can use LinkedIn to share their talents and expertise. Mr. Martinez provided opportunities for networking and building professional profiles using LinkedIn. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, make appointments with Mr. Martinez for further support.
Topic: Support for All Students
Find out how educators can serve undocumented youth and families in schools. Dr. Jefferies outlined legislation that allows undocumented youth to attend K-12 and higher education, such as AB540, the California Dream Act and DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). Furthermore, there was an emphasis on the best practices for teachers and administrators to encourage this population to make a successful transition to higher education.
