Special Education

If you want to be a Special Education teacher, it means you are interested in teaching ages Birth-22 to support individuals with special needs. You will need to have a bachelor’s degree and a Special Education Credential. With an Education Specialist credential, you could teach in elementary, middle, high school or adult education.

CSUF has majors that align with Special Education teaching requirements. There are also recommended GE courses that will prepare you for the credential admission requirements.
