Evaluation & Applied Research

C-REAL approaches evaluation as applied research-rigorous, context-responsive inquiry designed to generate actionable insight for institutions, funders, and stakeholders. Evaluation engagements support both the development of new initiatives and the assessment of existing programs, with particular attention to equity, student experience, and institutional effectiveness. Services include comprehensive evaluation plan development for grant proposals as well as formative and summative evaluation of ongoing projects and initiatives. Evaluation designs are aligned with institutional goals, reporting expectations, and funding requirements.

Original Research &Grant Development

C-REAL designs and leads original research that contributes new knowledge to higher education and educational psychology. This work is distinct from evaluation and is grounded in theory, methodological rigor, and scholarly contribution.

Services include research design, instrument development, data collection and analysis, and collaborative development of competitive research grant proposals. C-REAL partners with institutions and collaborators to conceptualize research that aligns with funding priorities while remaining attentive to student experience and institutional context.

This integrated service connects system-level climate assessment with leadership consultation and capacity building, ensuring that data informs decision-making, planning, and practice.

Using survey research, qualitative inquiry, and institutional data, C-REAL assesses how students, faculty, and staff experience programs, departments, divisions, and campuses. A curated, cohort-based leadership experience

The C-REAL Leadership Lab is a two-day, cohort-based experience designed for education leaders seeking dedicated time for reflection, skill building, and strategic growth. This immersive experience brings together a small group of leaders in a thoughtfully curated setting that supports deep learning, meaningful dialogue, and professional renewal.

The curriculum integrates leadership development, applied scholarship, and scholar-practitioner entrepreneurship within a community of peers. Participation is intentionally limited to maintain depth, connection, and individualized engagement.
