Single Subject Credential

A teacher with a Single Subject Credential is generally assigned to teach the specific subject(s) named on the credential in departmentalized classes in the junior and senior high schools of California. Seventeen subject areas have been identified by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing as subjects most commonly taught in the public junior and senior high schools.
