We are an organization that helps to bring students who have a desire to learn more about teaching exceptional learners- those students who have been identified with disabilities, Gifted and Talented (GATE), and even English Language Learners (ELLs)- together.
At our monthly meetings, usually held off campus, we offer support and ideas to those people who are student teaching. Most members of the club are enrolled in a credential program, and we share ideas with each other to help each other be more successful. Professors that attend the meetings always share their insights and give great teaching ideas!
As a club, we try to attest conferences in the local area. We also encourage our members to attend the Annual International Council for Exceptional Children's Conference. We also hold fundraisers through out the year, including a make-and-take and selling See's candy.
As the College of Education continues to grow, we hope that more individuals continue to join us in the support and advocation of exceptional children!
