Computing Certificate for
Elementary School Teachers
The Computing Certificate for elementary
school teachers is designed to provide teachers with a broad understanding
of the applications of computers in the elementary school classroom
and the instructionally related tasks in the public schools. Competencies
will enable participants to become computer curriculum specialists
who will guide the integration of technology into the elementary
school curriculum.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Criteria for admission to the certificate
program include a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
and a teaching credential.
STUDY PLAN
The Computing Certificate Program consists of 12 semester
units. The first course of the program, EDEL 512, meets the level
2, state technology requirement for the Multiple Subject Clear Credential.
