Teaching Credential: Intern Program

CSUF Multiple Subject Credential Intern Program

For questions about admissions, contact Kim Case at kcase@fullerton.edu - (657) 278-5859

1) Option A

For candidates who have been admitted to the two semester program:

Near the completion of the first semester, candidates may apply for intern status.  If approved, admission is contingent upon employment with a participating district.  If a candidate gains employment and becomes an intern, he/she will be transitioned into a three semester program so his/her second and third semester will consist of classes that begin at 4:00 p.m., allowing him/her to teach in his/her own classroom.  The candidate's intern teaching experience will serve as his/her eight week student teaching requirement.

2) Option B

For candidates who have been admitted to the three semester program:

Candidates in the three semester program have the opportunity to become an intern at the start of the second or third semester of their program.  To become an intern, candidates must: (1) receive approval from their Block Leaders, and (2) receive a job offer from one of our approved districts.  The candidate's intern teaching experience will serve as his/her eight week student teaching requirement.
