Mrs. Kathy Murphy

Kathy Murphy coordinates and teaches methods courses in the Multiple Subjects Credential Program at CSUF's Irvine Branch Campus. She serves as a block leader for Block 85, and enjoys teaching EDEL 433 Reading Methods, EDEL 429 Language Arts courses, and supervising student teachers in the field. In addition to elementary classroom teaching, Kathy spent 20 years supporting new teachers, as a district staff development specialist in the Upland Unified School District. She also served as Curriculum Coordinator of the Taipei American School in Taipei, Taiwan. Kathy serves on the executive board of the Orange County Reading Association, the board of directors of the San Clemente Educational Foundation, and is active in a number of professional organizations. She received her Bachelor’s Degree and credential from UCLA, and her M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from CSUF.
