Dr. Ana Garza-Dargatz

Dr. S. Ana Garza-Dargatz is a Professor in the Department of Elementary & Bilingual Education. Dr. Garza has taught and supervised courses in the Multiple Subject credential and Master's programs. Her current research is investigating pre-service teachers and how they most effectively acquire multicultural sensitivity. Dr. Garza is co-authoring articles in this field and presenting papers at NAME, AERA, NABE, and other national associations. She is actively involved in professional development activities, and consistently serves on committees at the Division, College, and University level. Dr. Garza is passionate about helping pre-service teachers develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge for working with urban students. She taught for several years in urban schools before coming to CSUF.
